User Agreement for Cooking Class

Miko’s Japanese Cooking Online Class – Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service (hereinafter “Terms”) set forth the conditions for using the online Japanese cooking classes (hereinafter “Service”) provided by Miko’s Japanese Cooking Online Class. Participants must agree to these Terms before using the Service.

Article 2 (Eligibility)

  1. The Service is available to anyone with internet access and the ability to use Zoom, regardless of nationality or age.
  2. Minors must obtain parental or guardian consent before participating.

Article 3 (Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Payment Policies)

  1. All classes require prior reservation.
  2. Payment must be completed to confirm your booking.
  3. Cancellation and rescheduling policies are as follows (all times are based on the class start time):
  4. The cancellation and rescheduling policies differ depending on the type of lesson: Seasonal Menu, Recommended, and Fully Customized Online Lesson. Seasonal Menu and Recommended lessons follow the same policy. The Fully Customized Online Lesson has a different policy from the two above. Please make sure to review the policy that applies to your selected lesson. (Please refer to the table below.)
  5. Payment Deadlines:
    • Seasonal Menu and Recommended Lessons: Please complete your payment via PayPal at least 3 days before your desired lesson date.
    • Fully Customized Online Lesson: Please complete your payment via PayPal at least 7 days before your desired lesson date.
  6. If a class is canceled due to the instructor’s circumstances, participants will be offered a make-up class or a full refund.
  7. In the event of natural disasters, communication failures, or other unavoidable circumstances, a make-up class will be arranged. If participants are unable to attend the make-up session, a full refund will be issued.
  8. If you have unavoidable personal circumstances, such as moving or hospitalization, please contact me. We will assess the situation fairly on a case-by-case basis.

Article 4 (Class Fees and Payment)

  1. Class fees are determined for each class.
  2. Payment must be made via PayPal.
  3. Reservations are confirmed upon payment.
  4. Refunds after payment are subject to the cancellation and make-up policy in Article 3.

Article 5 (Class Content and Intellectual Property)

  1. All recipes, videos, and materials provided in the Service are copyrighted by the instructor. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.
  2. Information shared during classes may be used only for personal purposes.

Article 6 (Participant Environment and Precautions)

  1. Participants must prepare a stable internet connection, required cooking tools, and ingredients themselves.
  2. The instructor and the Service are not responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur during cooking.

Article 7 (Handling of Personal Information)

Personal information collected from participants will be used solely for class operations and communication, and will be properly managed. It will not be provided to third parties.

Article 8 (Prohibited Conduct)

Participants must not:

  • Disturb other participants or the instructor
  • Distribute or publicly share class content without permission
  • Engage in illegal or immoral activities

Article 9 (Changes to Terms)

These Terms may be changed without prior notice. The revised Terms take effect when published on the website.

  • Personal Information: Name (first and last), email address, gender, country of residence, information provided via Zoom or PayPal, and any other information voluntarily provided when signing up for a lesson.

  • To respond to inquiries
  • To improve lessons and services
  • To send necessary notifications

■Sharing with Third Parties
